We're hiring a Technical Lead  for a startup company who built a tech platform connecting artists with their fan community, purpose-built for the music industry.  

We're hiring someone who'll be a hands-on tech leader, responsible for web architecture and building the foundation for a world class engineering team.

They're well positioned, with executives from major music companies and a Product VP responsible for Reddit's early community infrastructure.  They also got a close partnership with a major capital firm, and early launch for apps have gone well.

• Architect and develop web-based architecture and features.
• Motivate and inspire engineers through example; this is a hands-on technical role that will set the bar for quality, performance, and dedication across the team.
• Write code with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Set and maintain internal standards, engineering best practices, and culture of excellence.
• Partner with executives and product leadership on the direction of our apps

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Deeply passionate about consumer-focused technology (music industry or related is a plus)
• 8+ years of development experience with significant work using JavaScript/React
• 3+ years leading a consumer facing product.
• 3+ years implementing front end architecture best practices.
• Experience with Canvas, Animation and SVG, and REST API
• Experience with Node.js and React modules such as Redux, Flux and Material UI
• Exceptional communication skills

• Music industry background or personal dedication as an artist or fan
• Startup experience or prior work in a rapid growth product environment
